Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech) – Day Shift

Contract Type: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)
Pay: $40 - $45/Hourly (Local) | $52 - $56.07/Hourly (Travel)
Shift: 3x12s | Day Shift | 36 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
A reputable medical facility in Ithaca, NY is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to support its perioperative team. This role is best suited for a dependable professional with strong clinical judgment, recent experience using Epic EMR , and the ability to excel in a fast-paced surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up operating rooms by preparing instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures
Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring a sterile environment is maintained
Perform instrument and supply counts before and after surgeries
Collaborate with nurses and clinical staff to support safe and efficient procedures
Participate in scheduled on-call rotations as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist
Proficiency with Epic EMR system required
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including on-call duties
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
