Job Title: Power BI Developer
Location: 1st option Torrance CA or Maryville, OH as 2nd option
Job Description: The Business Intelligence, Data Science and Data Engineering teams at American Honda Motor mission is to design, develop, deploy and support BI/ AI / ML solutions aligned with our 2030 vision where data is at the core of everything. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and database management, with extensive experience in Power BI and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
∙ Perform data analysis to support business decision-making.
∙ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate technical specs, document and deliver actionable insights.
∙ Create and optimize data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
∙ Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
∙ Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs.
∙ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security and governance across all reports and dashboards.
∙ Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities.
∙ Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and data analytics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
∙ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
∙ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
∙ Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
∙ Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Report Builder, Power Query and Power Automate.
∙ Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
∙ Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
∙ Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikSense) is a plus.
∙ Worked in Agile organization and be familiar with Agile methodologies like SAFe Agile, knowledge of Jira, ITSM etc.
∙ Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
∙ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
∙ Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their data services.
∙ Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
∙ Certification in Power BI or related technologies
