Private Family in Rochester, NY Seeking a Full-Time Live-In or Live-Out Nanny ASAP!

Position:Full-Time Live-In Nanny for a 20-month-old
Schedule:Monday–Sunday; schedule fluctuates weekly with longer shifts typically on weekends (Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday), around 44–50 hours/week
Salary:$35–$40/hour DOE, minimum of 40 hours, usually 44-50 hours/week,  $75-100k/year DOE
Start Date:ASAP
Relocation:Open to candidates willing to relocate 

About the Family

A warm and hardworking private family in Rochester, NY is seeking a full-time live-in nanny to support their household. The principal’s work schedule changes weekly, so flexibility and reliability are essential. She values kindness, positive energy, and finding someone who will become part of the team.

Children:One child, 20 months old
Home Size:3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home
Pets:Three Rough Collies (“Lassie” dogs)
Living Arrangements:Private bedroom with shared bathroom

Responsibilities

• Full-time care for 20-month-old toddler, especially on back-to-back workdays

• Light housekeeping and household organization

• Light cooking and meal prep

• Feeding dogs on workdays and assisting with general pet care

• Staying overnight or into the late evening on weekends when the principal is on shift if a live-out candidate

• Being a consistent, flexible, and communicative presence in the home

Ideal Candidate & Personality

• Comfortable with a dynamic and changing weekly schedule

• Looking for a long-term fit (minimum one year or longer if it’s the right fit)

Must be available to work weekends (typically 2–4 per month) and able to stay overnight or late (e.g., until 11 PM) on days the principal works 12-hour shifts. While this is a live-in position, the family is open to live-out candidateswho can stay evenings during work weekends.

Requirements

• Prior nanny experience

• Experience caring for toddlers

• Comfortable with dogs and pet care

• Legal to work in the United States

• Excellent communication skills and flexibility

Benefits

• $35–$40/hour DOE, 40-50 hours/week $75-100k/year DOE

• 2 weeks paid PTO
