Job Title: Medical Biller (IHS Experience) Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with prior exposure to Indian Health Services (IHS) facilities. This is a remote position with fixed working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (Saturday and Sunday off). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing processes and familiarity with IHS billing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Process billing for Inpatient, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), and Outpatient encounters.
• Ensure accurate and timely claim submission to private insurance carriers, Medicaid, and other payers.
• Utilize RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System) for third-party billing.
• Review claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with payer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve overall efficiency.
• Generate reports on claim status, reimbursements, and billing performance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with Indian Health Services (IHS) facilities.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing.
• Familiarity with RPMS.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing operations.
• Good communication skills for interacting with internal teams and payers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Certifications in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) or related billing/medical coding certifications will be considered an advantage.
