Description of the role:
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. They will work under the guidance of a Master Electrician, ensuring that all projects are completed safely and to code.
Responsibilities:
- Install electrical systems and components, including wiring, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and suggest necessary repairs or upgrades
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and plumbers, to ensure efficient project completion
- Able to work within job schedule and plan ahead for material and labor needs
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license
- Prior experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job
