The California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment, and Retention System (CalHEERS) Project is responsible  for the maintenance and management of the automated system (the system is referred to as CalHEERS)  that serves as the consolidated system support for eligibility, enrollment, and retention for Covered  California and Medi-Cal. The CalHEERS system also streamlines resources from which individuals and  small businesses are able to research, compare, check their eligibility for, and purchase health coverage.  The Office of Technology and Solutions Integration (OTSI) CalHEERS Project State team provides operational oversight of the prime system integrator vendor that is tasked with the maintenance and operations of the CalHEERS  system.

Special Requirements

Possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Sealed Official transcripts are required upon appointment. If it is determined a candidate does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position.

Background Check: All applicants shall be subject to a pre-employment background investigation. The investigation will consist of the completion of a pre-employment questionnaire, fingerprinting, and an inquiry to the Department of Justice to disclose criminal records.

Supplemental Questionnaire Instructions

A Supplemental Questionnaire consists of a series of questions and a mechanism for obtaining an applicant’s qualifications and experience in job-related areas. The Supplemental Questionnaire must be titled “Supplemental Questionnaire” at the top of the first page, typed in a minimum of 12-point font, single-spaced, on standard-sized paper (8.5" X 11"), and no more than 3pages in length. Applications submitted without the required Supplemental Questionnaire will be considered incomplete and will not be considered for this position.
