Responsibilities

Demonstrates understanding of Olympic Center policies regarding communication with members, guests and staff
Compiles and organizes participant registration forms ensuring all participants are appropriately paid, registered and screened
Arrives to class early and has necessary equipment prepared in advance
Greets each participant entering the aquatics area with an enthusiastic attitude and ensures they get to know the individual by name
Demonstrates understanding of providing safe, fun and professional swim instruction
Presents a well planned, energetic, and educational swim class
Monitors all participants ensuring lessons are productive and makes adjustments as necessary
Provides support by assisting in maintaining the aquatics environment
Promotes the facility’s services and offerings to class participants
Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

High school diploma/GED
Current certification as a group fitness instructor or leader from a national fitness organization
Aquatic Fitness Certification preferred
CPR and AED certification within 90 days of employment
